Privacy Policy

When you use CutKarlo, we may collect the following information:

• Account information: Email address and password hash when you register.
• Usage data: Number of transcription requests, export operations, and plan usage counts.
• Payment information: Order IDs and payment status from Razorpay. We do not store card details — these are handled entirely by Razorpay.
• Media files: Video and audio files you upload for processing. These are processed in your browser (client-side) using WebAssembly wherever possible. Server-side transcription (via OpenAI Whisper) processes audio temporarily and does not persist it.

• To provide and improve the CutKarlo service.
• To manage your account and subscription credits.
• To process payments and prevent fraud.
• To send you important service updates and notifications (not marketing unless you opt in).

Account data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database with Row-Level Security). Media files are not permanently stored on our servers — they are processed transiently and discarded after the operation completes.

We use industry-standard security practices. However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for the security of your account password.

CutKarlo uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and database hosting.
• OpenAI Whisper — AI speech-to-text transcription (audio sent server-side temporarily).
• Razorpay — Payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy.
• Vercel — Hosting and deployment infrastructure.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

CutKarlo uses browser local storage to save your project state and usage counters locally on your device. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Essential session cookies may be set by Supabase for authentication.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Usage counters reset monthly. Project data saved locally remains on your device until cleared.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Object to processing of your data.
• Data portability where technically feasible.

CutKarlo is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
